Her unique aesthetic, characterized by “innocence tinged with a touch of melancholy,” is beloved not only in Japan but has also resonated with audiences in Europe and America. In 2021, the first release in the “Japanese Artist Series Whisky” was launched, marking her first collaboration with Ms. Yamamoto. It sold out instantly upon release and subsequently achieved remarkable results at auction. In recent years, Ms. Yamamoto has gradually withdrawn from her art creation and licensing activities. Prior to this, she successfully completed her second whisky collaboration. Compared to the first release, the packaging and design of this latest collaboration are significantly improved. To commemorate this rare artistic collaboration, it was bottled in original 1980s casks, with only 446 bottles produced worldwide, perfectly showcasing the poetic fusion of art and whisky, where creativity and time meet. Selected Distillery: Bunnahabhain Distillery Located on the northeast coast of Islay, Scotland, Bunnahabhain (derived from the Gaelic phrase “Bun na h-Abhainne,” meaning “mouth of the river”), founded in 1881, is renowned for its smooth, delicate, and soulful spirit, making it one of the most distinctive distilleries on Islay. Unlike most Islay whiskies known for their heavy peaty smokiness, Bunnahabhain is predominantly unpeated or lightly peated, showcasing a rich and smooth flavor profile with nutty sweetness. The distillery uses pure spring water from the River Margadale and matures the whisky in sherry casks, imparting a rich flavor profile of dried fruit, caramel, and sea salt. The seaside cellars face the North Sea, allowing the whisky to mature slowly in the salty sea breeze, developing subtle saltiness and a deep maritime character. To this day, Bunnahabhain still adheres to traditional methods, without chill filtration or artificial coloring, becoming a testament to the tempering of time and sea breeze, and perfectly interpreting the gentle yet resilient soul of Islay whisky. 1 in stock Bunnahabhain 1980 45 Year Old #91 quantity Add to cart Categories: New, Scotch Whisky Related products SOLD OUTHighland Park Valhalla Collection & Longboat Stand (4 x 700 ml) €2,300.00 Read more SOLD OUTGlenfiddich 21 Years Old Winter Storm Experimental Series 3 (Batch 1) €375.00 Read more SOLD OUTCompass Box Blend Artist 7th Edition – La Maison Du Whisky €199.00 Read more SOLD OUTMacallan 15 Gran Reserva €1,700.00 Read more
